On Sunday, September 10th, Parkinson's Society B.C. will be holding its annual fundraising event in Stanley Park. Because of diminishing abilities of both myself and Ferdy, who has dementia, we no longer walk in Stanley Park, BUT WE DO INTEND TO WALK. The main walk is held on the 10th, but walks will take place all over BC on other weekends in September. This is the largest fundraiser for the Society and a stimulating event for participants.
The Parkinson's Society continues to offer wonderful programming, from health information to exercise programs and intellectual stimulation. Over the last eight years, the organization has played a valuable role in my life, allowing me to benefit from many of the programs and services offered.
This year, TEAM Gran will be walking closer to home. If you care to join us, please meet at 4503 West 16th on Sunday, September 10th at 11am. If you’d like to bring a lunch for after the walk, we will have tea, coffee and drinks to enjoy. Hope to see you there!
Finally, I want to thank you all very much for your support over the last few years, they have been trying but you all have been so wonderful.
I hope you will support this walk and the many people living with Parkinson's disease.
Cheers,
Pat
