I’ve been personally touched by the challenges of Parkinson’s disease.
Diagnosed in 2003, for the first few years the disease was barely noticeable, however, that changed as the disease progressed. By 2020, the dyskinesia was severe enough to warrant Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery. This surgery occurred on September 30, 2020. Although this greatly reduced the tremours and dyskinesia, it does not stop the disease.
Sadly, in April 2023 my sister, Colleen Vollan of Vernon, passed away from complications from PD.
We still do not have a cure. Your dollar is one step closer to improving the lives of those in need.
