Hello friends and family,
As you all know I’ve been personally touched by Parkinson’s disease over the past 10 years. Recently I am finding it more and more challenging as the disease takes hold.
This year the Vancouver Parkinson SuperWalk is happening on Sunday, September 10 in Stanley Park at 10AM. I am planning on walking again this year with my family and we'd love to have you join us. I am also fundraising as an individual and you can make a donation under my name (and you can receive a tax receipt). All contributions, no matter how big or how small, are critical to those affected by Parkinson's.
Parkinson's disease is the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's and can manifest itself in a range of both motor and non-motor symptoms. Living with Parkinson's can be incredibly challenging for the individual as well as for their family, friends, and carepartners. Currently, there is no cure.
Your donation will help Parkinson Society British Columbia continue to provide valuable programs, services, advocacy efforts, and research contributions.
Every dollar is one step closer to improving the lives of those in need.
You can make a donation and join me on the walk---or you can simply just make a donation with no strings attached. Thank-you so much for supporting me.
Warm regards,
Sally
