Nancy and I are participating again this September in Parkinson Superwalk. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease five years ago. Neither Nancy nor I knew much about PD, and so we began a learning journey together. Part of that learning was the realization that I had been experiencing some of the symptoms for years.
Parkinson’s is the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's and manifests itself in a range of more than 40 different symptoms, both visible and hidden. No two people get the same combination of symptoms — it’s a mixed bag. Research is vital to providing better treatments and finding a cure, however adequate funding is a constant issue.
Your donation will go towards research, advocacy, and the excellent programs and services offered by Parkinson Society BC.
I hope you will consider supporting us. Any contribution, no matter how big or how small, helps.
Thank you!
