I was diagnosed with PD in November 2015 after a few years of experiencing some of the syptoms associated with it.
It took me a while to come terms with the diagnosis, but now that I know this is part of who I am, I decided to live my best life and contribute in any way I can to the Parkinson Society British Columbia.
Living with Parkinson’s can be incredibly challenging for the individual as well as their family, friends and carepartners. Currently, there is no cure.
All contributions, no matter how big or how small, are critical to those affected by Parkinson’s. I hope you’ll support our walk this year and help us reach our fundraising goal.
Parkinson’s disease is the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's and can manifest itself in a range of both motor and non-motor symptoms.
Your donation will help Parkinson Society British Columbia continue to provide valuable programs, services, advocacy efforts and research contributions.
Every dollar is one step closer to improving the lives of those in need.
Please support me and Rick as we walk through this journey together.
