With over 13,000 British Columbians diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and the worldwide incidence expected to double by 2040, the need is greater than ever to ensure those affected by the disease are getting the care they need and deserve. Our collective efforts can make a real difference, and that’s why we’ve teamed up to raise funds for Parkinson SuperWalk.
Our team name is a homage to our first and favourite Parkinson's Society of BC fundraising event...the Beer and Chocolate Tasing, which typically happens in March. This year, we wanted to increase our contribution to this invaluable organization by participating in the Parkinson's Superwalk. the Parkinson's Society of BC provides programs, services, and support to people living with Parkinson's and their families. They also have numerous advocacy and research efforts.
To help us achieve our team’s fundraising goal, we ask that you please consider making a donation to one of our team members individually.
Want to make a bigger impact? Consider joining our team! We welcome all participants, and since this year is a 'virtual walk', you don't even have to go somehwere special to participate! Just raise some funds, stoke your enthusiasm, and go for a (socially distanced) walk in your own neighbourhood.
