As Volunteer Coordinator for the Comox Valley Parkinson Superwalk since inception in 2018 I have been amazed by the support of family, friends & community as we raised awareness of Parkinsons and the much needed funds for research, & programs
This of course is a very different year & like many other fund raising venues our walk has had to adapt & has gone mostly virtual. We will miss the energy & enthusiasm of the day & hope to once again be together next year. Our support group will hold a small distanced walk following the protocols, on September 12 at 10am from Filberg Park
All contributions, no matter how big or how small, are critical to those affected by Parkinson’s. I hope you’ll support my walk this year and help me reach my fundraising goal.
Parkinson’s disease is the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's and can manifest itself in a range of both motor and non-motor symptoms. Living with Parkinson’s can be incredibly challenging for the individual as well as their family, friends and carepartners. Currently, there is no cure.
Your donation will help Parkinson Society British Columbia continue to provide valuable programs, services, advocacy & research.
