I am walking to raise money for the Parkinson's Society of British Columbia in honour of two of my family members; my Uncle Brad, who passed away in 2009, and my Mom Elaine, who is currently living with Parkinson's disease.
Parkinson’s disease is the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's and can manifest itself in a range of both motor and non-motor symptoms. Living with Parkinson’s can be incredibly challenging for the individual as well as their family, friends and carepartners. Currently, there is no cure.
The Parkinson's Society of BC provides much needed support to individuals living with Parkinson's and their families as well as advocacy efforts and research contributions. Please help me raise money to contribute to this excellent organization.
All contributions, no matter how big or how small, are critical to those affected by Parkinson’s. I hope you’ll support my walk this year and help me reach my fundraising goal. Since everyone responds better to bribery...I offer the following incentives to all of my donors:
If you donate...
$20 - I will send you a hand written thank you card
$50 - I will bake and deliver 1 dozen cookies to you
$100 - I will bake and deliver 2 dozen cookies OR 1 large sourdough loaf OR 2 mini sourdough loaves
$150 - I will bake your choice of: cookies, bread, scones, muffins, pie, cheesecake, tart...quantity will be dependent on your choice of baked good.
$200+ - I will make you dinner (complete with a baked good for desert of course!); you can choose to save it until the danger from covid-19 is a thing of the past, or I can deliver it to your door.
All baking/cooking shall be delivered to you by me on a mutually negotiated date in the future. :)
