Peter and I will be once again participating in Parkinson Superwalk this September. Peter was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease four years ago and that’s when we began our unanticipated Parkinson's journey together. Resources and support offered through Parkinson Society BC continue to help us find our way.
Like many other diseases, Parkinson’s can be nasty. It’s the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's and manifests itself in a range of more than 40 different symptoms, both visible and hidden. Interestingly, no two people get dealt the same hand in terms of symptoms — it’s a mixed bag. There is promising research being conducted to provide better treatments and find a cure, however adequate funding is a constant issue.
Your donation will go towards research, advocacy, and the excellent programs and services offered by Parkinson Society BC.
I hope you will consider supporting us. Any contribution, no matter how big or how small, helps.
Thank you!
