Oliver/Osoyoos Online Steppers
With more than 15,000 British Columbians diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and the worldwide incidence expected to double by 2040, the need is greater than ever to ensure those affected by the disease are getting the care they need and deserve.
We are the Oliver/Osoyoos Online Steppers and we want to make a difference for people with Parkinson’s – especially for people that live in a rural area. Access to resources, services, and programs is very difficult for people living in rural BC. Everyone on our team has lived in a rural area at one time in their Parkinson’s journey (most of our team members live or have lived in Oliver, Osoyoos or Penticton).
The Parkinson’s Society of BC (PSBC) has always been there for people living in rural areas by providing critical programs, services, advocacy and up-to-date research.
SuperWalk is the largest fundraiser for the Parkinson Society of BC and is being held on September 10, 2022 - the funds raised will help the Parkinson Society of BC provide the critical support that your family, friends and neighbors need to live a quality life.
Our collective efforts can make a real difference, and that’s why we’ve teamed up to walk together on September 10, 2022 to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and the Parkinson Society of BC.
How can you help – you could take part in SuperWalk by joining a walk if there is one in your area, you could do a virtual walk to show your support or you could consider making a donation.
All donations, no matter how big or how small, are critical to support those affected by Parkinson's.
Donations of $20 or more are tax deductible and you will receive a tax receipt from the Parkinson Society of British Columbia.
